BILL BUSH

Birmingham Operations Manager

Bill joined Porter Warner Industries in 2008 as Birmingham Operation Manager.  Bill is responsible for the Birmingham “manned” operation.  The Birmingham, AL operation covers foundries and surface preparation customers in Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Florida and Arkansas.  Bill covers direct accounts in Alabama and Florida.

Prior to PWI, Bill started and owned Specialty Foundry Products from 1999 to 2008 and started and owned Refractory Specialist, a refractory installation company from 2004 to 2008.  Bill was employed by Premier Refractories from 1993 to 1999 as the Regional Sales Manager and V. P. of Sales.  Bill was Technical Director for Specialty Systems from 1990 to 1993.  From 1986 to 1990, Bill was employed by Mueller Chattanooga, where he was the Core Room Supervisor and General Foreman.  Bill was employed by Eureka Foundry from 1973 to 1986, where he managed the wet lab and was afforded the opportunity to work and learn all facets of green sand, no bake, cupola, channel, and coreless furnace operations. 

Bill has over 50 years of experience in the foundry industry.

Bill attended MTSU from 1974-76 where he majored in Biology.  Bill attended University of Tennessee- Chattanooga from 1977-1981 where he majored in Geology.

Brett

BRETT MOREHEAD

Southwest Operations Manager

Brett joined Porter Warner Industries in 2012 as Southwest Operation Manager.  Brett is responsible for the Arlington, TX “manned” operation and the Tulsa, OK  public warehouse.  The Southwest Operation covers foundry customers in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Western Louisiana, and Southern Arkansas.  Brett covers direct accounts in Texas and Western Louisiana.

Prior to joining PWI, Brett was employed at East Jordan Iron Works from 2001 to 2012 serving as Facility Manager and Manufacturing Manager.  Brett previously was employed at Wheland Foundry from 1999 to 2001 as Director of Melt Operations and Senior Buyer.  Brett was employed at Dalton Foundries from 1992 to 1999 as Melting Manager, Senior Project Metallurgist and Chief Metallurgist.  Brett began his career with Grede Foundries, serving as Quality Assurance Manager and Shell Mold Foreman from 1988 to 1992.

Brett has over 36 years of experience in the foundry industry.

Brett earned his B.S. degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Michigan Technological University in 1988 and his M.B.A degree from Indiana University in 1996.

Randy S

RANDY S. SANDSTROM

Western Operations Manager

Randy became Porter Warner Industries’ Western Operations Manager in 2018.  Randy is responsible for the Phoenix and Rancho Dominguez “manned” operations as well as the El Paso and Oakland Public warehouses.  The Phoenix operation covers foundries and surface preparation customers in Arizona, Utah, New Mexico and Northern Mexico.  The Rancho Dominguez operation coverage area is Southern California, Nevada, and North Western Mexico.  The El Paso operation coverage area is El Paso and Juarez, Mexico area.  The Oakland operation coverage area is Northern California and Northwestern Nevada.  Randy covers direct accounts in the Phoenix, AZ area.

Prior to PWI, Randy was employed by ASK Chemical from 1997 to 2018 as Technical Director, Technical Service Manager and Sr. Technical Representative.  Randy was employed by Capitol Castings/Magotteaux as Production Superintendent from 1989 to 1997.  He was employed by Southwest Flux as Operation Manager from 1987 to 1989.  Randy was employed by Naval Base Foundry as Project Manager from 1986 to 1987.  Randy started his career in the foundry industry by working at Atlas Foundry from 1979 to 1986.

Randy has over 45 years of experience in the foundry industry.

Travis

TREVOR TACKABERRY

Richburg Operations Manager 

Trevor joined PWI as the Richburg, SC Operation Manager in 2020.  The Richburg operation covers foundries and surface preparation customers in South Carolina, North Carolina, Eastern Georgia, and Virginia.  Trevor covers direct accounts in South Carolina and Eastern Georgia.

Prior to PWI, Trevor was employed at FOSECO from 1990 to 2019, holding positions of Application Engineering Manager, Product Manager, Marketing Manager and Marketing and Technology Director – Ferrous Foundry. Trevor was employed at Haley Industries from 1984 to 1990 as a Foundry Methods Engineer.

Trevor has over 40 years of experience in the foundry industry.

Trevor earned his Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology from St. Lawrence College in 1984 and earned his Six Sigma Black Belt from the University of Akron in 2014.
